REVEALED: The simple thing that Wenger told Saka on first meeting

Arsene Wenger and Bukayo Saka met each other last year, and it's now been revealed what the two talked about by the vice executive director of the North Londoners.

Arsenal executive vice-chair Tim Lewis recently shared an interesting anecdote about former manager Arsene Wenger and young star Bukayo Saka. Lewis revealed that when Wenger visited the Emirates Stadium last year, Saka immediately addressed him as ‘boss’ and sought his advice on how to improve his game.

“It was great to take Arsene down to the dressing room.”Lewis told The Telegraph.

“Bukayo [Saka] didn’t know him but he called him ‘boss’ immediately. He said, ‘Boss, how can I improve?’ – [and] Arsene very dryly said, ‘I think you could use your right foot a bit more’.”

Lewis spoke about the encounter between Saka and Wenger during an interview with The Telegraph. He expressed his delight at being able to take Wenger down to the dressing room and witness their interaction firsthand. According to Lewis, Saka approached Wenger with respect and asked him directly how he could improve as a player.

Wenger, known for his dry wit, responded by suggesting that Saka could utilize his right foot more often. This lighthearted comment from the legendary manager highlights his attention to detail and ability to identify areas for improvement even in highly talented players like Saka.

Saka’s versatility has been one of his standout qualities throughout his young career. His ability to use both feet effectively has undoubtedly contributed to his success on the pitch.

The fact that Saka sought advice from Wenger demonstrates his humility and eagerness to learn from experienced figures in the game. Despite already achieving significant success at such a young age, he remains grounded and open to constructive criticism.

Wenger’s influence on Arsenal cannot be overstated. During his tenure as manager from 1996 to 2018, he revolutionized English football with his innovative tactics and emphasis on nurturing young talent. Wenger’s ability to develop players like Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas, and Robin van Persie into world-class performers is well-documented.

Saka’s interaction with Wenger serves as a reminder of the Frenchman’s lasting impact on the club. Even after his departure, Wenger continues to inspire and guide young players who are eager to follow in the footsteps of Arsenal’s golden generation.

As Saka continues to progress in his career, it is clear that he values the wisdom and advice of those who have come before him. His willingness to seek guidance from someone like Wenger speaks volumes about his character and ambition. With his talent, work ethic, and humility, Saka has all the attributes necessary to become a future Arsenal legend.
