William Saliba sends a message to Arsenal fans after signing a new deal

Arsenal announced on Friday that William Saliba had signed a new contract with the gunners and he has sent a message to the fans.

Arsenal centre back William Saliba has expressed his excitement and hunger for success after signing a new long-term deal with the club. The 22-year-old defender, who started 27 league games for Arsenal last season, is considered to have been one of the best players under manager Mikel Arteta before suffering an injury towards the end of the campaign.

Saliba’s new contract with Arsenal is valid until June 2027, as officially announced and confirmed by the club. This extension reflects the faith that Arsenal has in Saliba’s abilities and potential to contribute to their future success.

In an interview with Arsenal Media, Saliba spoke about his decision to commit his future to the club. He mentioned that despite having a good season last year, he was unable to finish it due to injury. This setback has only fueled his desire to achieve more and play more years for this amazing club.

“Honestly the decision was easy, because I had a really good season last season, but unfortunately I didn’t finish it because of injury. So I want more. I want to play more years for this amazing club. I didn’t achieve anything yet, so I want to win everything with this club.” William Saliba told Arsenal Media.

The young Frenchman expressed his hunger and eagerness to make up for lost time. Having been sidelined for four months, he is determined not to let injuries hinder his progress this season. Saliba emphasized his commitment to staying fit and being available for selection throughout the campaign.

Saliba also shared his belief in Arsenal’s potential for success. He acknowledged that it is easy to say they can achieve everything but highlighted the team’s strong character, talented players, and experienced coach as factors that can contribute to their success. He also mentioned that each year, the team gets stronger and better equipped mentally.

Reflecting on last season’s title race with Manchester City, Saliba acknowledged that losing out on the Premier League trophy was disappointing. However, he remains confident in Arsenal’s ability to bounce back and do something special at the club. With a good experience from last season and a long campaign ahead of them, Saliba believes they have what it takes to compete at the highest level.

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League last season with 84 points, trailing behind Manchester City who secured the title with 89 points. Despite leading the league table for 10 months, Arsenal’s defeat against Nottingham Forest in the 37th game week proved costly in their pursuit of the championship.

With Saliba’s commitment and hunger for success, Arsenal fans can look forward to seeing him play a crucial role in their quest for silverware. The young centre back’s determination and belief in the team’s potential will undoubtedly inspire his teammates and fans alike. As Arsenal continues to strengthen their squad and build on last season’s progress, they will be aiming to challenge for major honors under the guidance of Mikel Arteta.
