Match Preview: Watford Vs Arsenal

The gunners are facing Watford this weekend as they hope to get all the three points to keep pressure on the top four. Here is the match preview.

The English Premier League gets back this Saturday with the gunners taking on Watford at its stadium called the Vicarage. The gunners have started the season have started the season on a poor note but have slowly started getting back to their feet as they are un beaten in their last five matches. This will be a very tricky match for the Arsenal team because they have been very poor when playing away in the EPL but they will be leaving the London city to collect all the three points because they would like to keep up the pressure on the top four and maybe atleast get ahead of Chelsea in order to please the supporters who have been disappointed how their club started this year’s campaign.

The English Premier League matches did not take place in the last two weeks because we were in the period of international break with players going to their respective countries. There are some few Arsenal players that were not allowed to for the international break like Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny and Danny Welbeck because they were currently injured but some did not get call ups by their national football team managers like Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere. Watford are currently 8th on the table with 12 points while the gunners are 5th with 13 points, just only one single point separating them meaning this will be a tough match and it would be much advisable if Arsene Wenger did not take Marco Silva’s men for Guaranteed. Watford are known to be a club that plays rough and physical football while the gunners have always been regarded weak by most football analysts but the gunners will be hoping that their strongest player Sead Kolasinac (Nick named THE TANK) be on his best when the North Londoners travel to the Vicarage stadium.

The hornets have met with the gunners 26 times since the formation of these two clubs and Arsenal has been the better club of the two as they have won 14 times while Watford have won 11 times and most surprisingly, these two have only drew once which came in the 80s rougly 3 decades from now. The last recent between the gunners and Watford was on 31st of January this year and Arsenal lost that match 2-1 while there were even at the Emirates stadium. So this will be the perfect time to avenge that embarrasing defeat when they take on the hornets on Saturday evening.

Arsenal is un beaten in its last five matches as it has won four and drawn one of those five matches while Watford have won only once, lost two and drawn other two in it’s last five matches making the gunners favourites to win this match.
