EPL Legend Names Perfect Replacement For Wenger

Arsenal are currently on the look out for a new manager after Arsene Wenger announced that he will be resigning at the end of this season and Premier League legend Gary Neville believes that Diego Simeone would be a perfect replacement for the outgoing French manager.

The gunners will be a team with no manager at the end of this season after Arsene Wenger announced that he will be stepping down as Arsenal manager in a few weeks from now.

Premier League legend Gary Neville believes that the gunners will need a manager who will be able to take them back into the UEFA Champions League or at least be able to do well against the top clubs in the European competition so the legend believes that Diego Simeone is the perfect replacement for Arsene Wenger.

Gary Neville said on talking at Sky Sports;

“They have to have a manager who can punch above their weight and the outstanding update for me is Diego Simeone.”

The gunners have plenty of options to try and bring them to the Emirates Stadium but the main question will be, will they bring a new manager which is going to drown the Arsenal team, a  mistake which Manchester United did when they appointed David Moyes who ended up ruining the Manchester club. So the Arsenal supporters will be hoping to get a perfect manager who will be able to revamp the North Londoners.

Diego Simeone is a successful manager who has been a big competitor against Real Madrid and Barcelona with his current club, Atletico Madrid and he even defied the odds when he successfully won the Spanish LA liga trophy in the 2013-14 season.

Even though the Arsenal board might find him as the perfect replacement for outgoing Wenger, it would be a tough task to try to convince him to leave Spain to come to the Emirates Stadium because per the current interviews of the Atletico Madrid manager, he is happy where he is.

Arsene Wenger did mention that he won’t have any say in choosing Arsenal’s manager in the past but that statement was referring to when his deal expires in the 2019 summer so the things have changed, but he hasn’t talked anything about that now.
