Arsenal News Round Up On Aubameyang, Welbeck, Lichtsteiner & Iwobi

Welcome to Arsenal news around which talks about a number of topics that took place on Friday 9th November, 2018. Arsenal on Thursday confirmed their qualification to the UEFA Europa League round of 32 after making a 0-0 draw with Sporting Lisbon.

INTERESTING ACT BY LICHTSTEINER

Arsenal signed Stephan Lichtsteiner in the summer transfer window and he is currently the oldest player at the Emirates Stadium. The veteran right back was selected in the starting eleven that played against Sporting Lisbon and the Arsenal fans have however noticed some class act he did during the game.

The video above shows Lichtsteiner tying the shoelaces of Emile Smith Rowe who was the youngest in the Arsenal squad that night. Arsenal fans replied that tweet saying that is a class act because it shows how he is a father figure to the youngsters.

AUBAMEYANG WINS EPL PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was voted as the Premier League player of the month for his performance in October in which he scored five goals and made one assist. He deserved this award because he was impressive for the gunners in that month. The gunners have won two Premier League awards because Aaron Ramsey’s goal against Fulham was voted as the goal of the month.

Danny Welbeck gets injured

Danny Welbeck got injured during Arsenal’s match against Sporting Lisbon and the club has confirmed that he has an ankle injury, and that he is currently at the hospital. The club however also said that a further announcement about the Englishman will be made in the next 48 hours.

IWOBI SPEAKS OUT ON WELBECK’S INJURY.

Alex Iwobi was also frustrated about the injury of Danny Welbeck because he got to see it with his own eyes on Thursday as his teammate was down in pain. The Nigerian international said;

“It’s very challenging mentally, but sometimes it comes in the game and there’s been a lot of injuries, and unfortunately for Danny he’s had a few so we’re going to wish him the best.” Alex Iwobi told Arsenal.com.

“Both sets of teams were mentally challenged and we were able to continue with the game, but like I said, we wish him all the best and we will keep on encouraging and motiving him to get back.”
