The January transfer window is just moments away from opening and the transfer rumours have already begun, and Arsenal is currently linked with Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega who has had a great time in the Spanish Laliga this season.
It is reported that current Arsenal head coach Unai Emery wants to bring Ever Banega to the Emirates Stadium because he believes that the gunners still need to improve their midfield because it looks porous. It is believed that Unai Emery wants to use his close relationship with Ever Banega to convince him to joining him in England since they were together at Sevilla a few years ago.
There were reports last week that claimed that Ever Banega’s agent was in London to complete the negotiations between the player and Arsenal but we haven’t received a follow update on that until now. Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo has confirmed that Ever Banega has rejected the chance to join his former boss Unai Emery at Arsenal because he can’t leave his family in Spain because it has settled in that country.
This is a very big blow for Unai Emery because most reports claim that the Arsenal coach was confident that the Argentine international would be in his first January signing as a gunners boss. The Arsenal fans will however be happy that the gunners won’t be signing Ever Banega because they were complaining that he is an old player and that they don’t need more midfielders but just want new defenders.
