Inter Milan reveal why Ivan Perisic won’t join Arsenal this month

Inter Milan has been very tough in its it's talks with Arsenal over the signing of Ivan Perisic on a loan deal this month.

Arsenal was linked with a surprise move for Ivan Perisic after the gunners lost the match against Manchester United on Friday. This deal looked more likely because Ivan Perisic also handed in a transfer request in the following hours but it seems like the deal is dead according to Inter Milan’s CEO Beppe Marotta.

Arsenal head coach has this month been saying that the gunners are in desperate need of wingers in this transfer window because their last few matches have shown that the North Londoners aren’t serving the ball to their strikers because of lack of wingers, and it was recently claimed by BBC Sport that the gunners had approached Inter Milan. over the possibility of signing Ivan Perisic on a loan deal until the end of this season.

Inter Milan is said to have wanted to let go of Ivan Perisic if the gunners were ready to sign the player with an obligation to buy clause in his contract. Inter Milan Chief Executive Officer Beppe Marotta has revealed that the reason why Ivan Perisic won’t be coming to the Emirates Stadium is because the North Londoners have ignored the investment they made to bring the Croatian international to Italy.

“Perisic? We’ve listened to the desire of the player, but we must also take into account any clubs who are interested in him and his asset value, which represents the investment Inter made when they signed him.” Beppe Marotta told Radio Rai.

So as it seems, Arsenal will not get Ivan Perisic because they are this time not ready to sign players permanently because of the FFP rules & wage bill or because Inter Milan don’t want to let Ivan Perisic go on a loan deal to Arsenal with no obligation to buy him in the Summer transfer window.
