Arsenal wants to bolster its squad and its now reported that the gunners are interested in Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
Arsenal has been under performing ever since their unbeaten run ended in December and it’s now reported that the gunners have made a move for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic. It is claimed that the gunners want him on a loan deal with an option to buy him in the summer for £35million. These reports come after Arsenal clearly lacked wingers in their 3-1 loss to Manchester United.
Arsenal has in the last few years lost its wingers like Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez and it’s now left with only Alex Iwobi who is very poor at decision-making. BBC Sport claims that the gunners want to sign Ivan Perisic on a loan deal with an option to buy so that they can make the deal permanent in the summer if they are happy with how he performs in the Premier League.
Ivan Perisic is currently 29 years old and some Arsenal fans have reacted angrily about the transfer rumours linking him with a move to the Emirates Stadium because he will be turning 30 in one week’s time but Arsenal is on the safe side because it won’t be a loan deal with obligation to buy. It is however unlikely for Inter Milan to accept a deal that would see Ivan Perisic join the gunners on loan deal with an option to buy because they want to permanently get rid of him.
Arsenal has this season been forced to use its full backs as wingers this season and this has been one of the main reasons why they have conceded a lot of goals, they give opponents space to exploit them hence them losing matches.
