Arsenal’s insufficient transfer budget to cause more harm than good

There has been many reports which have claimed that Arsenal's transfer budget will probably be in the region or £40-45million.

In a time when even goalkeepers are overpriced beyond £70 million, you will begin to wonder how far the £40-45 million transfer budget could go to getting Arsenal the team overhaul it actually needs.

Needless to say that the budget has already cost arsenal a great player and is also looking to cause another problem in signing another player of repute to the team.

Two Case Scenarios:

Meunier

According to Mirror, the deal to sign the stellar defender from the Ligue 1 giants, PSG, is likely to experience a glitch as Arsenal may not be so enthusiastic to spend a whopping £27 million which has been set aside as his release clause.

Meunier, a defender par excellence who has marked himself worthy to be referred to as such, would be a fine addendum to Arsenal’s defense line (especially since it has been particularly sloppy in the just concluded season) but with the strict transfer budget of about £40 million, it is feared to be impossible to have him come to the club since arsenal may not be willing to spend that over half of the budget on a single player.

It is actually a rare opportunity for Arsenal to poach such a fine player to the team, seeing as the only team (Manchester United) in the running for the same player had backed out after making further move to sign Crystal’s palace Aaron Wan-bissaka.

We will have to keep our fingers crossed as we watch it unfold as the day goes by.

Yannick Carrasco

The news about the Dalian Yifang’s defender being interested in playing for Arsenal had got arsenal fans a little too excited but with the latest report published in Arsenal True Fans, all hopes to get the star has been dashed because of the £30 million release clause placed on him.

And once again, the limited budget hampers the move to make a fine addition to the Arsenal team, seeing as they can’t spend over half of the budget on the Dalian Yifang’s winger.

Following Arsenal’s disappointing season in the just concluded season – that is after losing the chance to qualify for UEFA Champions league by failing to lift the Europa league trophy and also not being represented in the top four in Premier League – one would expect the team to try to do better next season by buying enough players to fill in the loopholes, but with limited transfer budget, there is only so much they could do.

The new Premier league season (2019/2020 season) is already upon us and Arsenal will be playing their first match on 11th August, 2019, against Newcastle. William Hill is considered by many to be one of the most trusted betting brands in the UK and on the betting platform, you can place bets on Arsenal to Win at 13/10 odds, Newcastle to win at 2 odds and Draw fixed at 5/2 odds.

Other markets available on William Hill for the match are: Both teams to score at 4/6 odds, X2 (away or draw) at 4/11 odds, 12 (home/away) at 3/10 odds etc.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
