Emery reportedly makes a decision on Mesut Ozil’s future

Mesut Ozil has been poor in the recently concluded season and reports claim that Unai Emery will advise the club to sell him this summer.

Mesut Ozil has been a strong talking point ever since the gunners lost 4-1 to Chelsea in the UEFA Europa League because the German international had a disastrous performance and his body language was poor when he got subbed off by Unai Emery.

Most of the Arsenal fans have reacted furiously and are urging the club to sell him in this transfer window because he has been awful in this 2018/19 campaign and there aren’t any signs that he will improve in the upcoming new season. It’s now been reported by the Daily Star that Unai Emery has finally made a decision about Mesut Ozil’s future at the Emirates Stadium.

The report claims that Unai Emery will meet the club’s hierarchy this week to tell them that they should try everything possible to get rid of Mesut Ozil even if it will require them to make a payout of £24million so that he accepts to leave the Emirates Stadium. Unai Emery has shown that he is not a big fan of Mesut Ozil because he did drop him from the matchday squads at the start of last season.

Mesut Ozil signed a new three-year deal in January, 2018 but his performances have went downhill after he put pen to paper to that new contract and he has failed to adjust to Unai Emery’s demands. It is going to be interesting to see what the club decides to do because Mesut Ozil has settled in London and wouldn’t want to leave right now as he intends to finish his contract at the Emirates.
