Arsenal striker Aubameyang has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the last few days but a quote in the past puts an end to these rumours.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined Arsenal in the 2018 January transfer window and he has been a formidable signing as he went on to score a great number of goals for the North London club.
Aubameyang has however in the last few days been linked with a move to Manchester United and The Sun is now even claiming that the Gabon international has said “yes” to the Red Devils who are apparently interested in him. There is however no truth in these reports as Manchester United will not be signing a new striker this summer unless they manage to sell off Lukaku.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has already said that he wants to become a legend at Arsenal and there’s proof that there’s only one club now that would make him leave the Emirates Stadium and that is Real Madrid according to this statement that he made some time back in 2016.
“Before my grandfather died two years ago I promised him that one day I would play for Real Madrid.” Aubameyang told L’Equipe three years ago.
Real Madrid are not interested in him now as they have already signed a striker so the Arsenal fans can now relax as the player wouldn’t want to leave them now to fulfill the promise that he made to his grandfather. The rumours linking Aubameyang to Manchester United have no legs as the Red Devils also don’t have UEFA Champions League which would’ve made the Gabon international consider joining them.
