Philippe Coutinho’s representative speaks out on reports of the Brazilian joining Arsenal

Arsenal has in recent times been linked with a move for Philippe Coutinho and his agent who is a gooner has commented on these reports.

Liverpool sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for a fee believed to be up-to £142million in the 2018 January transfer window but the Brazilian international has failed to perform up to expectations as he has this season even been loaned to Bayern Munich since the Catalan club deemed him surplus to their requirements. Coutinho has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks but his agent/representative has commented on these transfer rumours.

Philippe Coutinho has struggled in the one and half season that he spent at Barcelona and was in the 2019 summer transfer window loaned to Bayern Munich with an option to buy since the LA Liga Champions had just acquired the signing of Atletico Madrid’s Antonio Griezmann but the German Champions will also likely not make his move permanent as he hasn’t been that impressive.

Arsenal have been one of the clubs linked with a move for Philippe Coutinho and this even started in last year’s summer transfer window and has once again been making rounds in the papers but his agent Kia Joorabchian has however shed light about these reports, saying that the 27-year-old will not be joining the North Londoners due to his agent being a gooner.

“The fact I’m an Arsenal supporter is not a secret. I don’t have any preference where the players go. I don’t try to push someone to one club or another. Everything is a possibility.” Coutinho’s agent told Sky Sports.

“The question is what are going to be the financial conditions of all the clubs, including Barcelona and all the Premier League clubs at the end of this pandemic.”

Coutinho’s agent Kia Joorabchian did howeverhas however admit that he can’t rule out his client moving to the Premier League as he reveals that they had a conversation with the Brazilian international after a UEFA Champions League game in England and that he said that he is missing playing there.
