Arsenal legend Henry speaks out on Aubameyang’s future at the club

Arsenal striker Aubameyang has been heavily linked with an exit and gunners legend Thierry Henry has spoken out on the matter.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been an outstanding player for the gunners in the last two years as he has scored over 60 goals for them in less than 100 appearances but Arsenal is however close to losing him in the summer as he will soon enter the final year of his current deal at the Emirates Stadium and a lot of clubs are monitoring the situation.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has also become the latest person to speak out on the issue that the club is currently facing in trying to keep Aubameyang at the club and he gave a rather interesting and honest answer as to why he would not be able to tell Aubameyang to stay at the Emirates Stadium. Aubameyang has been impressive for Arsenal in the last two years but it is no secret that the team has however struggled in the same period as they have even failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

Thierry Henry who is without a doubt Arsenal’s best ever player says that he can’t tell Aubameyang to stay when he himself left the club in 2006 but he however says that as a fan, he hopes that the North Londoners manage to keep him at the club since his goals are very valuable.

“How am I going to say to someone to stay when I left? Things happen. As an Arsenal fan you want them to stay, but as a football player he will assess the situation with his family, with his dad, and will see what’s the best for them. If you’re an Arsenal man you don’t want them to leave.” Thierry Henry told Sky Sports.

“I don’t know what’s in his head or where he wants to go, but I know that we definitely going to miss his goals if he does leave. He does score goals, and if you take the goals of Aubameyang away, it’s a tough one.”

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a number of clubs and it’s believed that Arsenal could be forced to sell him in the summer to avoid losing him for free if they cannot be able to make him put pen to paper to a new deal.
