Report: Mikel Arteta and Jose Mourinho reportedly battle for the same two players

Both Mikel Arteta and Jose Mourinho will be looking to improve their respective squads in the summer and it now looks like they are getting linked with the same players.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been knocked out from the European competitions and their chances of getting into a UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League spot are incredibly low and so the only opt for cheap players in the summer. All Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Spurs have taken financial hits due to the pandemic and so they will have small budgets in the transfer window hence them going for cheap and out of contract players.

Both Mikel Arteta and Jose Mourinho will be looking to improve their sides for the new season and it looks like the North London clubs have found themselves interested in the same players.

WILLIAN

Willian has been one of Chelsea’s best performers this season since they have lost a lot of key players to injuries but The Blues have however decided that they won’t be giving him a new deal hence making him available for free in the summer transfer window, and Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has reportedly shown interest in getting the Brazilian international ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

Arsenal will however face competition from their arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur as its reported by The Telegraph that Jose Mourinho who once managed Willian some time back would like to reunite with him at his new club. Both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will be confident that they can get Willian since he has already said that he wouldn’t mind joining a rival and so either Arteta and Mourinho will have to show him that they have the better plans for him since this could be his last big move.

RYAN FRASER

Ryan Fraser will be out of contract at the end of this season since he decided not to renew his current contract with Bournemouth and Arsenal have already shown interest in him as they were even interested in him last year before deciding to spend big on Nicolas Pepe.

The gunners will however not to easily get Ryan Fraser as it’s claimed by The Express that Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the Scottish man since he was very impressive last season as he got over 20+ goal contributions in the Premier League.
