Confirmed: Five Arsenal players to miss encounter against Liverpool

Arsenal will this Wednesday face Liverpool at home and they have released the latest team news ahead of this game, confirming that five players will miss the game.

Arsenal will on Wednesday welcome The Champions Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium and this will be a must win game for the gunners as they’ll need to get all the three points to keep their European hopes alive. Arsenal have released the latest team news ahead of this game and it’s comfirmed the five players that will not be involved.

1. BERND LENO

Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper Bernd Leno got injured in the 2-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion about three weeks ago and even though it was first believed that he would be out for months, the fans were however relieved to know that he wasn’t ruled out for long and this new released team news say that he will be hopeful of returning to full training before the end of this season.

2. CALUM CHAMBERS

Calum Chambers got a knee injury last year in the 2-1 loss to Chelsea and he has since then never featured for the gunners as he was ruled out for a long time and his situation hasn’t changed as the club claims that he is progressing well through running and gym work.

3. GABRIEL MARTINELLI

Gabriel Martinelli did not get to play a single minute for Arsenal since the restart because he got injured in training some time back and his season is confirmed to be over as he will only return to the squad when the campaign has come to an end.

5. EDDIE NKETIAH

Eddie Nketiah will also miss the game against Liverpool but it will not be because of an injury but because he will be serving his suspension as he received a red card in the 1-1 draw with Leicester City last week.

It’s not been confirmed that Mesut Ozil will miss tomorrow’s game but they however confirm that he has back soreness and that he will be assessed before the game.
