Willian reveals Mikel Arteta’s master plan that Arsenal fans will absolutely love

Arsenal completed the signing of Willian in this transfer window and he has revealed the master plan of Mikel Arteta ahead of the start of the season.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta made Willian his first signing of the 2020 summer transfer window by bringing him to the Emirates Stadium on a three year contract and the Brazilian international has revealed the master plan of the Spaniard ahead of the start of the season.

Willian had a lot of options after leaving Chelsea due to his contract expiring as Arsenal and other clubs such as Barcelona were all interested in him before he chose to join Mikel Arteta’s side that had just ended their campaign with the winning of the Emirates FA Cup. It was reported that Mikel Arteta was one of the people that made sure that Arsenal signed Willian and the Brazilian international has revealed the master plan that the gunners head coach told him before he signed.

Willian says that he signed a three-year deal at Arsenal as he wanted to be apart of the Mikel Arteta project which was the gunners getting back into the UEFA Champions League in this upcoming season and then going all the way to win the UCL the season after or in his last. The 32 year old also says that he hopes to win another Premier League title at Arsenal in these three years that he will be at the North London club.

“One of the reasons I wanted a three-year deal was to be part of a plan, not just a player passing through. When I talked with the manager he told me why he needed me for three years.” Willian told Sunsport.

“It was that he first wanted to qualify for the Champions League and win it by the time I left. That was what I wanted to hear. I was at Chelsea for seven years and won everything except the Champions League.”

“Hopefully this move will give me the trophy I haven’t got as well as another Premier League title.”
