Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has finally spoken about the fight between Dani Ceballos and Eddie Nketiah that took place last week at Craven Cottage.
Arsenal’s next Premier League match will be up against West Ham United on Saturday and Mikel Arteta had his pre-match press conference on Friday to talk about this upcoming game, and so he will also took that opportunity to address everyone about the incident that happened before their game against Fulham that involved Dani Ceballos and Eddie Nketiah.
Arsenal players were allowed on the pitch at Craven Cottage on Saturday last week and as they were doing some drills ahead of the start of the game, things became heated between Dani Ceballos and Eddie Nketiah as they Spanish midfielder seemed to be attacking the Englishman by pushing him and they then both started doing it until Sead Kolasinac came in between them to calm them.
They however both came into the game as substitutes and Ceballos then shared a picture of him and Nketiah together after the game saying that they had resolved their differences and Arteta was asked in the post match press conference about the fight but he said that he had not yet watched it.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has however viewed the footage and was asked about this in the pre-match press conference that he had on Friday and he claimed that he was at first not happy with it but that he then finally understood them as they were both frustrated at not starting in the game against Fulham.
“Well, I was surprised first of all because it isn’t a common thing to see at the start! To be fair, I didn’t like too much that image in public, but then I understood what happened and I understood how much both of them wanted to play and their level of frustration they were managing.” Arteta told Arsenal Media.
“I really liked the way things were resolved, though. First of all between them personally, and then publicly with that picture. It was the end of the story and now we can learn from that and move on.”
