Arsenal board’s stance on whether to sack Mikel Arteta revealed in latest new report

Arsenal's current boss Mikel Arteta has received a lot of criticism in the last few weeks and the board's stance on whether to sack him has been revealed.

The talk of whether Arsenal might need to sack Mikel Arteta has begun over the last few weeks as the gunners have been winless in their last five Premier League. The defeat to Burnley made Arteta lose a lot of trust of some supporters and analysts as they have concluded that he has failed to turn around the campaign. Arsenal’s board have reportedly made clear their stance on the possibility of sacking Arteta.

Arsenal welcomed Southampton to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday and the match ended 1-1, and it was such a bitter-sweet result for the gunners as they showed their grit and fight to get a draw with 10 men and on the other hand, their poor run of results continued. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has vowed to try to fix Arsenal’s problems but will he have the time to try to save the season? Well, we there seems to be an answer.

An exclusive report by  The Athletic’s trusted journalist David Ornstein has confirmed that the Arsenal board does not have any idea of sacking Mikel Arteta at this current stage of the season and that they are still committed to supporting him since it is a long-term project. The report also mentions that the Arsenal executive team believes that the current team’s lack of wins in the Premier League is a short term problem that can be attributed to just the players having poor finishing.

The report also goes into details of the plan of the current Arsenal executive team as its claimed that they believe that the North Londoners will be able to properly challenge in 2022 as they are currently still in the rebuild process.

It’s been a year since Mikel Arteta got appointed as Arsenal’s manager and he has in that time won two trophies but his team has however struggled in the past two months due to lack of creativity in the midfield and so the supporters will hope that he is backed in the upcoming January transfer window.
