Bernd Leno reveals who is to blame for Arsenal’s lack of wins in the Premier League

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has opened up about who really needs to be blamed for the club's current failure to win the recent Premier League games.

Arsenal have one win in their last nine Premier League games and their form hasn’t shown any signs of improving as they basically threw away two games in a row due to getting avoidable red cards. Arsenal are currently in the 15th position on the Premier League table and their goalkeeper Bernd Leno has come out, and outright revealed who is responsible for this.

Arsenal started off the season well as they won their first two matches but then later got their annual beating at Anfield in the league by Liverpool but they seemed to be back on track when Mikel Arteta managed to break the curse of failing to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford after 14 years.

They have however since then failed to build from that game as they are yet to win a league game in a long time and this has seen many Arsenal supporters and pundits to start criticizing Mikel Arteta, asking whether he was the right appointment since he was given a big club as his first managerial role.

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has been the first choice goalkeeper of the gunners after the departure of Emiliano Martinez and having played in all their Premier League games this season, he has said that he believes that Mikel Arteta shouldn’t be blamed for their current shortcomings and that the people who deserve criticism are the players themselves.

“The coach is the least reason for us being in this situation. If you look at how we sometimes walked around on the pitch, then the only fault lies with the players. I have to say that honestly. We get red cards, make mistakes, are disorganised.” Bernd Leno told Sky Sports Germany.

“These are things that we have clearly addressed a thousand times. In the end, that’s a lack of focus among the players. The coach is not an issue in the dressing room, & there is no criticism of him. We criticise ourselves & the players know they are responsible.”

“There were just too many poor results & disappointing performances. The attitude is bad, there is a lack of discipline. Many factors are currently coming together. We have addressed this very clearly internally & everyone agrees that we have to change that very quickly.”
