Daniel Ek set to launch second Arsenal takeover bid

Swedish Billionaire is ready to make an improved offer of over £2bn

Daniel Ek is set to launch an improved offer of more than £2bn to takeover Arsenal, the Daily Mail reports.

The Spotify CEO made an offer of £1.8bn last month but is was rejected by the Kroenke’s. Ek cited that the Kroenke family had told him that they ‘didn’t need the money’.

However, the Kroenke’s stance has not deterred Mr. Ek and he is determined to try again with another over better than his first one.

His interest and desire to buy Arsenal came at the right time with American owner Stan Kroenke facing a heavy backlash from Arsenal supporters.

Since the Kroenke’s fully took over Arsenal in 2018, the club has been steadily declining and he remains unwilling to inject money into the team. Arsenal fans are braced for another dull transfer window since the Kroenke’s aren’t willing to spend.
