Arsenal recent fan favourite on risk of missing out on Premier League winners medal

Arsenal are in pole position to win the Premier League this season and it's now been revealed how a recent fan favourite player might miss out on a winners medal if Mikel Arteta doesn't give him a chance.

Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson might miss out on getting a Premier League medal if the gunners win the competition this season. This is because he has barely got chances on the pitch in the Premier League for the gunners this season as he has only made four appearances.

Arsenal are in a title race as they are currently first on the Premier League table with 66 points after 27 games but are closely followed by second placed Manchester City which has 61 points. The gunners have been impressive this season and will be hoping to win their first Premier League title since 2004.

However, there is a strict ruling that came into force during the 2012-13 season, players need to have played a minimum of five matches to qualify for a winners’ medal. So this means Reiss Nelson needs just one more appearance from Arteta in the last matches of the season.

Even though Reiss Nelson might have made only four appearances this season. He however has gone into the hearts of Arsenal fans a few weeks back when he scored the last minute goal in the gunners 3-2 come back against Bournemouth. So, Arsenal fans will hope that the 23-year-old is given an appearance to get a winners medal.

It would be unfortunate for Reiss Nelson if he misses out on getting a Premier League medal despite being part of Arsenal’s squad throughout their title-winning campaign. However, it is important to note that football is a team sport and every player plays their part in contributing towards success.

Reiss Nelson has shown glimpses of his potential and talent whenever he has been given an opportunity to play for Arsenal this season. He will be hoping that Arteta gives him another chance to play in one of Arsenal’s remaining games so that he can qualify for a winners’ medal.
