Arsenal young midfielder Matt Smith has confirmed on Instagram that he will be leaving the club this summer after spending 16 years at his boyhood club. The 22-year-old has only made a few appearances for the Arsenal senior team but played 21 matches for the Arsenal U-21 team last season.

Smith joined Arsenal’s academy at the age of eight and has progressed through the ranks to become a regular in the U-21 team. However, he has struggled to break into the first team, with stiff competition in midfield from established players like Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, and Dani Ceballos.

Despite his lack of first-team opportunities, Smith has remained committed to Arsenal and has been a model professional throughout his time at the club. He is highly regarded by his coaches and teammates for his work ethic, attitude, and technical ability.

In his Instagram post announcing his departure from Arsenal, Smith thanked the fans for their support and urged them to continue supporting the club. He also expressed his excitement about starting a new chapter in his career.

It remains to be seen where Smith will go next, but there is no doubt that he has plenty of potential and could thrive in a new environment. Several clubs are likely to be interested in signing him, given his talent and experience playing at one of England’s top clubs.

Arsenal fans will undoubtedly be disappointed to see Smith leave, but they can take comfort in knowing that he gave everything for the club during his time there. They will also be hoping that he goes on to have a successful career elsewhere and fulfills his potential as a top-class midfielder.

Overall, Matt Smith’s departure from Arsenal marks the end of an era for him personally and highlights the challenges faced by young players trying to break into top-level football. However, it also presents an opportunity for him to start afresh and make a name for himself elsewhere.

I just love writing and football so much ever since the 2000's when football got popular in our country. I am a self esteemed person who believes is am always right.
