The gunners welcomed Brentford at the Emirates Stadium last night and they won the match 3-1 with Danny Welbeck scoring twice in the first half for Arsenal.

The English international’s good surprising form continued on Wednesday as he showed that he could be a versatile player if he plays as a solo striker. Danny Welbeck scored Arsenal’s first goal of the day through a wonderful header after Matteo Guendouzi sent in a great cross to him.

Danny Welbeck doubled Arsenal’s lead before the first half ended hence the gunners going into the halftime break with two goals. The match later ended 3-1 in favour of the gunners with Alexandre Lacazette scoring Arsenal’s third goal of the day. Arsenal fans were impressed with the performance of Danny Welbeck because he is very underrated by many people because he isn’t always used by Unai Emery.

Unai Emery was also happy with the performance of the English international and got asked in the post match press conference on what his thoughts are on Danny Welbeck.

“I am very happy individually, also with the player. He gave us his quality and also his commitment every day. ”

“Danny Welbeck is working with this commitment and when he is playing also with a performance like today, and I think he’s helping the team and we want this. ” Unai Emery told Arsenal.com.

“Also, it’s more chances for us to find the first XI for the next matches with performances like today’s.”

Danny Welbeck will be hoping that his double against Brentford will be enough to make Unai Emery start using him in the Premier League but that’s very unlikely because the Arsenal boss already said that he doesn’t like using many forwards at the same time because they make the team unstable at the back.
