The summer transfer window is not yet open as most leagues including the Premier League are yet to be completed and Arsenal will be looking to strengthen their side since they have been awful in the 2019/20 campaign. Mikel Arteta will be looking make a stamp on the Arsenal squad by adding in new players in the summer transfer window and the positions that he needs new players in have been revealed by Goal.com.

1: CENTRE BACK

Arsenal have leaked a lot of goals this season and most believe that having a world class centre back in their books could be able to help them next season and it’s now been claimed that Mikel Arteta has made getting one a huge priority in this upcoming summer transfer window. Arsenal have already been linked with many centre backs hence showing how it could indeed be true that the gunners will try to sign a centre back.

Arsenal now has Pablo Mari on its books and so it is not clear if making his move permanent would mean the scrapping of needing centre back off the priorities list but that seems unlikely as the gunners are reportedly looking to get a world class centre back.

2.  BOX TO BOX MIDFIELDER

Arsenal waved goodbye to Aaron Ramsey in 2019 after his contract at the Emirates Stadium expired and the gunners have been shown the harsh reality of Dani Ceballos not having been a true replacement for the Welshman as he has not been able to replicate the numbers that his short no.8 predecessor uses to put up. The gunners have suffered a lot in midfield this season and so it is no surprise that Mikel Arteta has made it one of his main priorities for the summer transfer window.

3.  RIGHT BACK

Arsenal have been forced into playing Ainsley Maitland-Niles who is a midfielder as a right back this season due to not having another right back in their squad and Mikel Arteta has already said that he wants players that are comfortable in their positions and so that’s probably why he has made it a priority as well.
