Report: Arsenal set their asking price for Matteo Guendouzi after Barcelona & Juventus’ interest

Matteo Guendouzi has not played for Arsenal in a month and it's now being reported that the gunners have set an asking price for the young Frenchman.

Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is yet to play any minute ever since he had a scuffle with Brighton & Hove Albion players at the end of the game in which they lost. It seems like Guendouzi has failed to fix the relationship between him and the manager after this incident as he has been put on the transfer market with now a new report claiming that the gunners have set an asking price for him.

Arsenal completed the signing of Matteo Guendouzi from Lorient for £7million in the 2018 summer transfer window and he had a great first season as he was immediately given many chances by Unai Emery even though he had played in the French Ligue 2 the previous season. Guendouzi did also have a nice start to this season as he made some notable performances like that against Aston Villa but Arteta has not been a fan of him and the incident at Brighton might have put an end to his Arsenal career.

Arsenal will be looking to sell Matteo Guendouzi in this summer transfer window and it’s now reported that they have put an asking price of £40million for any suitors that might get interested in the young Frenchman as per a report by Times. Barcelona and Juventus have already been linked with a move for Guendouzi and so now they will need to spend atleast £40million to get him from the gunners or they could propose swap deals as Arsenal will definitely be interested.

Matteo Guendouzi has been training alone for more than a month now and he has not at the Wembley Stadium as Arsenal lifted the Emirates FA Cup and he has angered the fans by not posting anything on social media to congratulate his teammates after they won a trophy. Guendouzi has never publicly made a statement on the events that have seen him miss so many games.
