Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has repeatedly responded to an offer from a club that had offered him a two year deal and an offer of £5million to the gunners to get his services.
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil last played for the gunners in their 1-0 win over West Ham United in March and he has since then never stepped on the pitch to play a professional game for the North Londoners. There has been a lot of questions over the future of Mesut Ozil and its now being reported that he has replied to an offer from a Saudi Arabian club.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has completely frozen Mesut Ozil out of the squad as he is always left out of the matchday squads and the Spanish coach usually doesn’t give a direct answer about why he has stopped using the German international when he used him in 10 consecutive matches before the COVID-19 pandemic put a pause to the Premier League.
Mesut Ozil has often come out in interviews and said that he would not leave Arsenal until his contract expires and a report by Tyc Sports is claiming that the 31 year old was approached by Saudi Arabian most prominent club Al-Nassr over a possible deal that would see him join them this month on a big money two year deal since the Premier League clubs are still allowed to sell in that region. Al-Nassr were ready to also offer £5million to Arsenal to get the services of Mesut Ozil but this report has confirmed that the German international rejected their proposal of giving him a 2 year deal because he is not interested in a move to Asia at the moment.
It’s interesting that Mesut Ozil does not accept this offer as he has already been left out of the UEFA Europa League squad and rumours say that he will also not be included in the squad for this year’s Premier League campaign but nonetheless, his insistence to stay at Arsenal isn’t surprising to many as he has continually said that he will stay until his contract expires.
