Arsenal in negotiations for midfielder set to replace Guendouzi
Arsenal have made an offer for Anderlecht midfielder Sambi Lokonga.
Arsenal have begun negotiations for one of their midfield transfer targets Albert Sambi Lonkonga and have made an offer of £12.9m.
The bid has been rejected by Anderlecht according to ESPN as they want £17.2m for the Belgium under-21 midfielder.
Arteta is in desperate need of strengthening his midfield options this summer with Dani Ceballos returning to Real Madrid and Granit Xhaka, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira all heading for the exit.
Arsenal have scouted him for some time and Sambi Lokonga has been described as a dynamic midfielder with lots of potential.
The 21-year-old has been hailed by Gunners legend Thierry Henry and recommended the club to sign him up. Should the clubs reach an agreement he is most likely to be a replacement for Matteo Guendouzi given his young age and potential.
