Arsenal receive news about the injury Thomas Partey sustained last night

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey went off injured last night when the gunners faced Manchester City and there has now been an update on the health of the Ghanaian international.

Thomas Partey’s injury scare has been put to rest after initial checks have shown that the injury is not serious. The Ghanaian midfielder was forced off in Arsenal’s FA Cup fourth round game against Manchester City, which the Gunners lost 1-0.

This caused concern among Arsenal fans as Partey has been a key player for Mikel Arteta’s this season with some claiming that he is the one holding their Premier League title aspirations alive. However, journalist Jack Rosser has reported that initial checks have shown that Partey’s injury is not serious and he is expected to be fit for Arsenal’s next match against Everton on Saturday. Rosser tweeted: “Initial checks on Thomas Partey suggest his hamstring issue isn’t too serious and he should be fit for Everton on Friday. #AFC #MCFC”

This news will come as a huge relief to Arsenal fans who were fearing the worst when Partey went down injured against Manchester City. The Ghanaian has been one of the standout players in Arteta’s team this season and his absence would have been a huge blow for the Gunners.


The 29-year-old will now be hoping to make a quick recovery so he can return to action as soon as possible and help Arsenal finish the season strongly. Every points counts for Arsenal nowadays as they are first on the Premier League table and have a clear chance of taking the the league title to North London for the first time since 2004.
