Arsenal have been handed a major boost ahead of their match against West Ham United on Sunday, as it has been claimed that injured striker Eddie Nketiah might be back in action as per The Metro.

Nketiah sustained an ankle injury a few weeks ago and has missed the Gunners’ last four matches. Although he might not immediately get back into the starting eleven on Sunday, as Gabriel Jesus is currently in good form and scored a goal in Arsenal’s recent 2-2 draw with Liverpool, manager Mikel Arteta will be happy to have another option available.

The news of Nketiah’s potential return comes at an important time for Arsenal, who are currently in the midst of a title race. The Gunners are first on the Premier League table with 73 points after 30 games, but they are closely followed by second placed Manchester City which has 67 points.

Arteta will be hoping that Nketiah can help his side to victory against West Ham United on Sunday and maintain their lead at the top of the table. The 23-year-old Englishman has scored four goals and provided one assist this season and his return could prove to be crucial for Arsenal’s title hopes as he is a super substitute.

It remains to be seen whether or not Nketiah will make his return against West Ham United on Sunday, but it is certainly good news for Arsenal fans who have been eagerly awaiting his return from injury. With just eight games left in the season, every point counts and having another option up front could prove to be decisive for Arsenal’s title aspirations.
