Arsenal receive good news ahead of the pre-season
Arsenal will soon start their pre-season matches and the gunners have received good news ahead of these upcoming matches.
Arsenal fans have received some good news ahead of their pre-season as the club has confirmed that four key players will be available for selection. Takehiro Tomiyasu, Mohamed Elneny, Gabriel Martinelli and Oleksandr Zinchenko are all set to feature in Arsenal’s pre-season games.
These four players were all sidelined with injuries during the recent season that ended a few weeks ago. However, they have now fully recovered and are ready to play a part in Arsenal’s preparations for the upcoming season as per Football.London.
Arsenal had a strong campaign last season and were in a fierce title race with Manchester City in a bid to win the 2022/23 Premier League title. However, a defeat against Nottingham Forest in their 37th game week saw them lose the trophy to The Citizens. Arsenal ended the season with 84 points while Manchester City finished with 89 points, making them this year’s Premier League Champions. Despite leading the league table for 10 months this season, Arsenal had to settle for second place.
The return of these four players will be a huge boost for Arsenal as they look to mount another title challenge next season. Takehiro Tomiyasu joined Arsenal from Bologna some time back and quickly established himself as an important player in Mikel Arteta’s squad. The Japanese defender suffered an injury towards the end of last season but is now fully fit and ready to go.
Mohamed Elneny is another player who has been plagued by injuries over the past year. The Egyptian midfielder missed several games due to various injuries but is now back in training and looking sharp ahead of pre-season.
Gabriel Martinelli is one of Arsenal’s brightest young talents and
played a big role last season before he suffered an injury in last weeks of the season. The Brazilian forward missed some weeks of action.
Finally, Oleksandr Zinchenko is a new signing for Arsenal, having joined from Manchester City last summer. The Ukrainian left-back suffered an injury towards the end of last season but has now fully recovered and is ready for pre-season.
Overall, the return of these four players will be a huge boost for Arsenal as they look to build on their strong campaign last season and challenge for the Premier League title once again. Fans will be eagerly anticipating their performances in pre-season as they look to hit the ground running when the new season kicks off in August.
