Arsenal reportedly eyeing one of Chelsea’s stars as Arteta tries to revamp his squad
Mikel Arteta will be looking to revamp his squad in this summer transfer window and a report has now revealed that Arsenal are eyeing a Chelsea star.

Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on the situation surrounding Kai Havertz’s future at Chelsea. The young German midfielder has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, with several top clubs across Europe expressing an interest in his services.
Havertz enjoyed a solid season in the Premier League, scoring seven goals and providing one assist to help Chelsea finish 12th on the league table. However, it seems that his time in London could be coming to an end, as reports suggest that he is keen to explore new opportunities elsewhere.
Arsenal are said to be among the clubs monitoring Havertz’s situation as per The Telegraph, but they may face stiff competition from other suitors. The main stumbling block appears to be Chelsea’s asking price, which is believed to be around £70million.

This hefty fee has put off potential bidders, including Arsenal, who may struggle to justify such a significant outlay. The Gunners were in a fierce title race with Manchester City last season but ultimately fell short after suffering a shock defeat against Nottingham Forest in their 37th game week.
Despite leading the league table for 10 months of the campaign, Arsenal had to settle for second place behind Pep Guardiola’s side. They finished the season with 84 points, five behind City who were crowned Premier League champions for the third time in four years.
With this disappointment still fresh in their minds, Arsenal will be looking to strengthen their squad ahead of next season. Havertz would certainly add some much-needed creativity and attacking flair to Mikel Arteta’s side, but it remains to be seen whether they will be willing or able to meet Chelsea’s asking price.
For now, Arsenal fans will have to wait and see how this transfer saga unfolds. With several other top clubs also interested in Havertz’s services, it could be a long summer of negotiations before any deal is finally agreed upon.
