How Arsenal will lineup with Declan Rice next season
Arsenal are obviously very close to finishing the signing of Declan Rice and so here is how the gunners will lineup with him next season.

Arsenal fans have been eagerly awaiting news of their club’s summer signings, and it seems that the Gunners are set to make a big splash in the transfer market. After securing the services of Kai Havertz, reports suggest that Arsenal have reached a £105 million agreement with West Ham United for the highly sought-after Declan Rice. If this deal goes through, it would be a major coup for Mikel Arteta’s side and could significantly strengthen their midfield.
With Rice’s arrival, Arsenal would have a formidable midfield duo alongside Havertz. The 22-year-old Englishman has been a standout performer for West Ham over the past few seasons and has established himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League. His ability to break up play, read the game, and distribute the ball effectively would provide much-needed stability to Arsenal’s midfield.
In terms of formation, Arteta could opt for a 4-2-3-1 setup to accommodate Rice alongside Havertz. This formation allows for two holding midfielders who can provide cover for the defense while also contributing to attacking play. With Rice and Havertz in this role, Arsenal would have a solid foundation from which they can launch attacks and control possession.
In defense, Aaron Ramsdale would take his place between the sticks, providing a reliable presence in goal. The backline would consist of Oleksandr Zinchenko on the left, William Saliba partnering Gabriel Magalhaes at center-back, and Ben White on the right. This defensive unit offers a good balance of youth and experience, with Saliba and White providing promising young talents alongside more established players like Zinchenko and Gabriel.
Moving forward into attack, Gabriel Martinelli would occupy the right winger position. The Brazilian youngster has shown immense potential during his time at Arsenal and possesses great pace and finishing ability. On either side of the flank would have Bukayo Saka while Martin Odegaard is in the central attacking midfield position. Odegaard’s vision and passing range combined with Saka’s dribbling skills and crossing ability would make them a potent threat in the final third.
Completing the attacking lineup would be Gabriel Jesus, who would operate as a striker. The Brazilian has proven himself to be a versatile player during his time at Arsenal last season.
Overall, this potential lineup with Declan Rice in the team showcases Arsenal’s ambition to strengthen their squad and compete for major honors. With a solid defense, a dynamic midfield duo, and an exciting attacking lineup, the Gunners could pose a serious threat to their rivals next season. However, it remains to be seen whether this deal will materialize, but if it does, Arsenal fans can look forward to an exciting season ahead.
