Arteta reveals the important Arsenal player that will miss the Crystal Palace game
Arsenal will play against Crystal Palace on Monday for their 2nd Premier League game and Arteta has revealed the player that will miss the game.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that striker Gabriel Jesus will once again be absent from the squad for their upcoming match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park Stadium on Monday.
Jesus, who sustained an injury during pre-season, also missed Arsenal’s first Premier League game of the season. The Brazilian forward’s absence is a blow to the team, as he possesses great attacking prowess and has been a key player for the Gunners in recent seasons.
Despite Jesus’ absence, Arsenal managed to secure a 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in their opening Premier League fixture. The win propelled them to fourth position on the league table, giving them a positive start to the new campaign.
Arteta expressed his satisfaction with the team’s overall fitness, stating that there are no new concerns following their previous game. However, he confirmed that Gabriel Jesus is still not fit and available for selection.
The Spanish manager will have to rely on other attacking options such as Leandro Trossard and Eddie Nketiah to lead the line against Crystal Palace. Both players have proven themselves as reliable goal scorers and will be crucial in Arsenal’s quest for another victory.
As Arsenal aim to maintain their winning momentum and climb further up the league table, Arteta will need his players to step up in Gabriel Jesus’ absence. The Gunners will be hoping for another strong performance as they face Crystal Palace in what promises to be an exciting encounter at Selhurst Park Stadium.
