Arsenal Football Club is reportedly in advanced talks with midfielder Martin Odegaard over a new contract, according to The Daily Mail. The Gunners are keen to secure the services of both their captain and defender Ben White on fresh long-term deals.

At just 24 years old, Odegaard has already made a significant impact at Arsenal. The Norwegian international joined the club on loan from Real Madrid last season a few years ago quickly became a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s squad hence it being made permanent. His impressive performances helped Arsenal finish second in the Premier League table, narrowly missing out on the Premier League title.

Odegaard’s influence on the team was not limited to his performances on the pitch. Despite his young age, he was entrusted with the captain’s armband, showcasing his leadership qualities and maturity beyond his years. His ability to dictate play from midfield and create scoring opportunities for his teammates made him an invaluable asset for Arsenal.

Another player who caught the eye last season was Ben White. The 25-year-old defender arrived at Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in a big-money transfer some time back. White quickly established himself as a reliable presence in the centre back of right-back position, showcasing his defensive prowess and ability to contribute offensively.

With the new season already underway, Arsenal has enjoyed a strong start, accumulating 10 points from their first four games. Currently sitting in fifth position in the league table, their early success can be attributed in part to the contributions of Odegaard and White. Both players have featured prominently in these matches, demonstrating their importance to Arteta’s plans.

Securing long-term contracts for Odegaard and White would be a significant boost for Arsenal’s future ambitions. It would not only provide stability within the squad but also send a message that they are committed to building a competitive team capable of challenging for major honors.

As negotiations continue between Arsenal and Odegaard’s representatives, fans will be eagerly awaiting news of a potential agreement. The Gunners’ faithful will hope that the talented midfielder commits his future to the club, ensuring that his influential presence remains at the heart of their midfield for years to come. Similarly, tying down Ben White to a long-term deal would solidify Arsenal’s defensive line and provide a strong foundation for future success.

As Arsenal looks to build on their promising start to the season, securing the futures of key players like Odegaard and White is crucial. With their talent and potential, they have the ability to play pivotal roles in Arsenal’s quest for silverware in the coming years.
