Arsenal Football Club has officially announced the departure of Nicolas Pepe from the team. The club released a statement confirming that they have agreed to terminate the forward’s contract with immediate effect.Ivorian winger has joined Trabzonspor on short term deal.

Pepe, an Ivory Coast international, joined Arsenal in the summer of 2019 from French side Lille. During his time at the club, he made 111 appearances in all competitions and played a crucial role in their FA Cup victory in 2020. He assisted the winning goal in their 2-1 triumph over Chelsea.

However, last season saw Pepe spend his time on loan at Ligue 1 side Nice. He made 28 appearances for the French club and scored eight goals during the campaign. With just one year remaining on his contract with Arsenal, it seems both parties have decided to part ways.

The statement released by Arsenal expressed gratitude towards Pepe for his contributions during his tenure with the club. They thanked him for his efforts and wished him well for his future endeavors.

Pepe’s departure marks the end of an era for Arsenal as they bid farewell to a player who had shown promise but failed to consistently deliver on expectations. His time at Arsenal was marred by inconsistency and underwhelming performances, which ultimately led to this decision.

Overall, while Nicolas Pepe’s time at Arsenal may not have lived up to expectations, it is important to acknowledge his contributions and wish him well as he embarks on a new chapter in his football career.
