Saliba explains why Arsenal lost two points against Tottenham Hotspur
Arsenal center back William Saliba has opened up on the circumstances that led to the gunners dropping two points against Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal centre back William Saliba has spoken out about the team’s disappointing 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby on Sunday. Saliba expressed his disappointment at not being able to secure a victory in front of their home fans but remained positive, stating that they are already focused on their next game.
In his post-match interview with Arsenal’s official website, Saliba said, “I’m a little bit disappointed because we wanted to win in front of our fans. We should have done better, but it’s okay, we drew today, and are already focused on the next game.”
Saliba went on to discuss the circumstances that led to Arsenal dropping two points in the match. He acknowledged that the team controlled the first half but conceded a goal just before the end. However, they managed to come back and score, only to concede a second goal shortly after. Saliba emphasized the importance of learning from this game and improving for their upcoming matches.
“Because it’s a derby, we wanted to win, but at least we didn’t lose because we could have done at the end as we conceded some chances,” Saliba explained. “We’ll do better, learn from this game, and come back better.”
The North London derby saw Arsenal take the lead twice, with goals from Saka and an own goal from Romero. However, they were unable to hold onto their advantage as Son scored both of Tottenham’s goals to level the scoreline. Despite both teams having opportunities to find a late winner, the match ended in a draw.
Saliba’s comments reflect the disappointment felt by the Arsenal players and fans after failing to secure a victory in such an important fixture. However, his determination to learn from the experience and improve for future games shows his commitment to the team’s success.
As Arsenal looks ahead to their next match, Saliba’s words will serve as a reminder of the importance of maintaining focus and learning from their mistakes. The team will be eager to bounce back and secure a win in their upcoming fixtures.
