Arsenal were not a club that would spend a lot on a defender in the past but that has changed because they even spent over £30 million to get Shkodran Mustafi. Jonny Evans is an outstanding player and is a proved defender even though he plays for a bottom table team but they will have a hard time trying to convince him to come to the Emirates stadium in the summer transfer window.
