It seems the gunners are still interested in Steven N’Zonzi even though most believe that the gunners didn’t make a move but current reports show that the negotiations are still going on.

Arsenal has been linked with Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi for the last two months as Unai Emery hopes to add more quality to his midfield before the start of the 2018/19 season.

Reports linking Steven N’Zonzi to Arsenal seemed to have cooled down after Unai Emery admitted that he had not made a move for the French international despite having coached the player in the past at his previous club.

It is however said that the gunners are still in talks with Sevilla on the signing of Steven N’Zonzi and the Mirror claims that Arsenal has failed to reach an agreement with Sevilla because they have decided not to meet the asking price of the Spanish club making the deal to be stalled.

Steven N’Zonzi has a release clause of €40million and it seems the gunners have made an offer which is lower than the amount which Sevillla is requesting and this is quite reasonable because Unai Emery has spent all the money which the Arsenal board gave him to spend on transfers.

The North Londoners have so far made five signings already including one defensive midfielder but Unai Emery is reported to have made strengthening his midfield among his top priorities this summer so a move for Steven N’Zonzi could be on the cards.
