Arsenal gives update on Bellerin, Mkhitaryan and Mustafi injuries

Arsenal will on Wednesday face Brighton & Hove Albion away from home and the gunners will be hoping to collect all the three points so that they can keep up the pressure on the Premier League top four. The gunners currently have a big injury list and the club has released the latest team news ahead of this fixture.

Hector Bellerin got injured in Arsenal’s match against Southampton at the Saint Mary’s Stadium a few weeks ago and he has now missed three matches, he has a calf injury. The gunners will have to wait a bit longer for the return of the Spanish right back because the club has confirmed that he is still out for two weeks.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan got injured in Arsenal’s encounter with Tottenham Hotspur last week and the Armenian international will be on the sidelines for six weeks because he fractured his metatarsal. So he is also out of the match against Brighton & Hove Albion.

It’s been about two weeks since Shkodran Mustafi got a slight injury but it has turned out to be disappointing because the North Londoners have played three matches without him. The German centre back has a right hamstring and the club says that he will be assessed before their match against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Nacho Monreal was in the starting eleven that faced Burnley on Saturday but he was unable to play the full 90 minutes and was replaced by Stephan Lichtsteiner. Unai Emery then later confirmed after the game that subbing off Monreal was more of precaution measures. He will also be assessed on Wednesday before the game.

Emile Smith Rowe and Dinos Mavropanos to return this month. Both Danny Welbeck and Rob Holding are still recovering from their surgeries. So that’s the latest team news ahead of the game.
