The Premier League is yet to finish the 2019/20 campaign but they are however also planning for the next one and the return date has linked and Arsenal will be preparing.
The Premier League has been on hold for two months now due to the COVID-19 pandemic and this delay has messed up the football schedule in England hence them trying to bring it back in the upcoming month to finish the season. The Premier League is also likewise making plans for next season and it’s start date has been leaked by reporters.
Arsenal will be one of the clubs that can’t wait for the start of the 2020/21 season as they have been so poor in this campaign that they currently find themselves in the ninth position on the Premier League table. The Premier League will go ahead next season even if it means that no home crowds are allowed in the stadium throughout the whole season.
A report by the Daily Mail has revealed that the Premier League return date will probably be around 12th or 13th of September. The league is believed to have chosen this date because they believe that they will be done with this season’s matches by September since the players will be required to play on both weekends and week days so that they can be able to salvage some time for the summer transfer window to take place.
Even though the Arsenal fans will be happy with the start of a new season with possibly Mikel Arteta, their excitement level will depend on many things that happen during the end of this season as them missing out on any European football would be a bad look for the club and continuing to play in the UEFA Europa League would make the fans angry.
Arsenal has already begun preparing for next season as there has been an increase of reports about players that the North Londoners will hope to sell in this upcoming summer transfer window so that Arteta can only work with a team that suits him in the 2020/21 campaign.
