Real Madrid decided to loan Dani Ceballos to Arsenal for a season in the 2019 summer transfer window and even though he had a slow start to life as a gunner, he however earned his place in the team in the last matches of the season and his performances saw Arteta ask for the North Londoners to try to keep him.

Dani Ceballos was at first not in the plans of Mikel Arteta but he however broke into his first starting eleven and he never left after that as he played in their most important games of the season like the semi final against Manchester City and then the final against Chelsea that saw Arsenal win the 2020’s edition of the Emirates FA Cup. Dani Ceballos did not only play in those two games but was also impressive in them as Arteta even said that the Spaniard has surprised him with how he has developed since he came in.

Dani Ceballos returned to Real Madrid ahead of their Pre-season but he has however hint at returning to Arsenal this summer in the Instagram story that he posted on his official Instagram account. He wished Joe Willock a happy birthday and then also added some words reading; “See you soon” and gooners believe that this is a sign that he will be returning to the Emirates soon.

It is no secret that Arsenal would like to have Dani Ceballos back but most reports have said that the gunners would love to get him on another season long loan with an option to buy while Real Madrid apparently want the North Londoners to pay their asking price to get him. Dani Ceballos has already confirmed that he would not be opposed to a move that would bring him back to Arsenal as he says that he wants to join a club that would give him minutes so that he can get a spot in Spain’s Euro 2021 squad.
