Four players Arsenal could sign to solve midfield creativity problem
The transfer window may have shut last month but it will reopen in less than six weeks. We look at the four players who are linked with a switch to Arsenal to solve their creativity issue.

Arsenal have a void to fill in their team regarding the attacking midfield position. Mesut Ozil’s Arsenal career appears to be over and the Gunners haven’t filled his void by signing a replacement or recruiting from the team.
This has led to Arsenal struggling with creating chances in the final third and poor form from the attackers who have been starved of supply.
In descending order we look at four players who Arsenal could sign in the coming windows to solve this issue.
4. Houssem Aouar
Aouar was Arsenal’s top target in the just concluded transfer window but a move failed to materialise.
Lyon demanded for up to £55m, which Arsenal refused to meet but this should’t stop Arsenal from knocking on the door once again.
Arsenal will try again but he is ranked 4th because of his high transfer fee compared to the others below.

3. Isco
The out of favour Real Madrid star looks to be on his way out and Arsenal are linked as a possible destination.
The talented Spanish midfield could make a switch to the Emirates to revive his career and should Arsenal get formally interested he could cost Arsenal something under £30m.
2. Christian Eriksen
Surprising on this list at no.2 is Eriksen the former Tottenham midfielder who currently plies his trade with Inter Milan.
The Danish international has endured a rough time in Italy having forced through a move to Inter Milan in January this year and there are suggestions that he could be looking to return to the Premier League where he enjoyed football.
As talented as he is, the 28 year-old has struggled for game time in the Italian capital and has admitted that his spell at Inter has not gone as planned.
According to a report from Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, the Italian side are interested in a move for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka and are willing to offer Eriksen as part of the deal.
Arsenal could be tempted to accept this offer and let go of Xhaka after the acquisition of Thomas Partey.

1. Dominik Szoboszlai
Szoboszlai is the player linked the most with a switch to Arsenal. At just 20 the Hungarian midfielder is turning out to be one of Europe’s hottest prospects.
For Red-Bull Salzburg this season he has 5 goals and 9 assists in 13 games with an impressive 22 goals in 74 appearances.

Arsenal are reportedly monitoring him amid a possible bid in January. He has a release clause in his contract that is as low as £23m. This could be another steal for Arsenal if he’s signed.
