Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hint at the new summer signings that they will sign in the next couple of weeks.
Arsenal have been pretty busy in this summer transfer window as they seem to be in negotiations with many clubs on departures as well as trying to sign some new players that will improve Mikel Arteta’s side ahead of next season. The gunners have so far signed Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares who are both just 21 years old, hence many wondering whether this is the profile of players that the Arsenal fans should expect in the rest of the window.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was recently asked whether their approach in this transfer window will continue to have them focus on youngsters as seen in their recent two arrivals but he however hint at possibly signing some experienced players as well to balance the squad.
“It is one of the profiles, but we need a good mixture as well. We need some senior players, players with different types of leadership in the team, with different qualities, people that complement each other.” Mikel Arteta told Arsenal Media.
“At the end of the day it is about the cohesion of the team so we need a squad that is cohesive that can develop and adapt, that offers different qualities to change games, protect games when we need to and this is what we are trying to build.”
