Arteta’s Arsenal receive good news ahead of final Premier League games
The Premier League will come to an end this month and Arsenal have received good news ahead of their final league matches.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided some good news ahead of Arsenal’s final games of the season in his pre-match press conference ahead of Arsenal’s Sunday match against Brighton & Hove Albion. The Gunners are currently in a title race as they are second on the 2022/23 Premier League table with 81 points after 35 games but are closely following first placed Manchester City which has 82 points plus one game in hand.
Arteta revealed that the team is working hard to get players back for the crucial match against Brighton & Hove Albion. “We have another session tomorrow before the Brighton game, and we are trying to get players back for that. Today we haven’t trained on the pitch, so we’ll know more tomorrow,” he said.
However, Arteta confirmed that William Saliba will not be fit for this game and they are doubting whether he will be fit for the next game as well but didn’t say he is out for the rest of the season as some reports had claimed a few days ago. Saliba got injured in March in Arsenal’s defeat to Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Europa League and he has since then been battling a back injury.
“With William Saliba, it’s for sure that he’s not going to be fit for this game and we are doubting whether he will be fit for the next game as well. But we want to keep the hope going and make sure that we give ourselves the best chance of having them back.” Arteta told Arsenal media.

Despite Saliba’s absence, Arsenal will be looking to secure a win against Brighton & Hove Albion who are currently fighting for a European spot as they sit seventh on the Premier League table with 55 points.
Arsenal fans will be hoping that their team can continue their winning streak and win the league title. The Gunners have not won a Premier League title since 2004, but they will be hoping to end their drought this season.
Arteta has done an excellent job since taking over as Arsenal manager, and his tactical nous and man-management skills have been praised by many pundits. He has built a strong team spirit within the squad, and the players are playing with confidence and belief.
