Arteta reveals bad news received by Arsenal ahead of next few games
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has received bad news ahead of their next couple of games as gunners boss Mikel Arteta has revealed that their midfielder Fabio Vieira has got an injury.
“We’ve got a problem with him Fabio [Vieira]. He’s been having some discomfort. We tried to have some treatment with him but he wasn’t improving,” Mikel Arteta told ESPN.
“We sent him to see a specialist and the advice was to get an operation done in his groin. He did that yesterday. We expect him to be out for weeks now. We don’t expect him back this side of the winter break. Let’s see how he evolves. We will have to wait and see.”
This news comes as a blow to Arsenal, who are currently in 1st position on the Premier League table with 30 points in this 2023/24 campaign after 13 league games. Their recent game was a Premier League match against Brentford away from home, which ended 1-0 in favor of the Gunners.
Their next game will be up against Lens in the UEFA Champions League at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023.
Vieira’s absence will be felt by Arsenal as they look to maintain their position at the top of the table and continue their strong form in both domestic and European competitions. The team will have to make adjustments in midfield to cope with his absence and ensure they remain competitive in all competitions
