Arteta reveals why he dragged Kai Havertz to the Arsenal fans last night
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed the reason behind his decision to drag Kai Havertz over to the away end after Arsenal’s hard-fought win over Brentford. The Gunners secured a crucial 1-0 victory, with Havertz scoring the late winner to take them to the top of the Premier League table.
Arteta explained his actions, stating that he felt it was important for Havertz to face both the difficult moments and the beautiful ones. “Because he fully deserves it. When you are there sometimes & you have to face it and he’s done that. He didn’t hide. So now go and face the beautiful moment as well. I knew he wasn’t going to do that so I had to push him,” Arteta told the media.
The win against Brentford marked Arsenal’s second victory over them this season, propelling them above reigning champions Manchester City in the league standings. The Gunners will now turn their attention to their upcoming Champions League clash against Lens before facing Wolves in their next Premier League fixture.
With 30 points in this 2023/24 campaign, Arsenal are in a strong position as they continue their pursuit of success both domestically and in Europe. The team’s performance has been impressive, and Arteta’s leadership has played a significant role in their success so far.
As Arsenal look ahead to their upcoming fixtures, fans will be hoping that they can maintain their momentum and continue their push for silverware under Arteta’s guidance.
