As Arsenal prepares for a crucial Premier League encounter against Manchester United, manager Mikel Arteta has revealed concerns over the availability of two key players: Takehiro Tomiyasu and Bukayo Saka. Both players are currently doubts for the upcoming match, adding a layer of uncertainty to Arsenal’s preparations.

When questioned about Tomiyasu’s absence from training and Saka’s availability, Arteta acknowledged the concerns, stating via club website, “We have a few doubts that tomorrow can resolve because we have another training session, so we will have to wait and see.” He further confirmed the uncertainty surrounding the two players, adding, “There are doubts over the names that you discussed.”

Tomiyasu’s potential absence would be a blow to Arsenal’s defensive stability. The Japanese international has been a reliable presence at right-back, providing defensive solidity and contributing to the team’s attacking play. His versatility also allows him to slot into the center-back position if needed.

Saka’s potential absence would be an even greater concern for the Gunners. The young winger has been one of Arsenal’s standout performers this season, consistently delivering goals and assists. His creativity, dribbling skills, and ability to unlock defenses make him a crucial attacking threat.

With the Premier League title race hanging in the balance, any absence of key players could prove detrimental to Arsenal’s aspirations. The Gunners currently hold a slender one-point lead over Manchester City, who have a game in hand. A victory against Manchester United is crucial to maintain their position at the top of the table.

Arteta and his coaching staff will be closely monitoring the fitness of Tomiyasu and Saka in the lead-up to the match. The final decision on their availability will likely be made closer to game day, leaving Arsenal fans anxiously awaiting updates on their star players.
