The gunners are moving into the January transfer window knowing they are at a risk of losing some of their star players but it seems Real Madrid aren’t targeting Mesut Ozil.

The gunners signed Mesut Ozil from Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2012 after the Laliga team decided to let go of the German international but there were reports that they were trying to resign the player but per current reports, it’s not him they are interested in but another Arsenal Star.

According to MIRROR SPORT, Real Madrid are interested in signing Arsenal winger Alexis Sanchez who has been speculated be interested in leaving the Emirates stadium in this upcoming January after the gunners reportedly blocked his move to his preferred side Manchester City who had spent the whole summer transfer window trying to convince the Chilean international to join them but the deal broke off at deadline day.

It is said that the Spanish club have identified the Chilean international was a player that could easily integrate into their playing style but will have to face strong competition from Manchester City and PSG who are also interested in signing the former Barcelona. The gunners missed out on a UEFA Champions League spot for the first time in 19 years last season and it is on record that Alexis Sanchez wants to play for a club that is participating in that European competition said the Chilean during the summer transfer window days but Arsene Wenger rubbished off those claims and said that he doesn’t believe in translated content because his player made the statement in his local language at a local radio station.

This comes after it was reported that the Arsenal board had decided to let go of three star players at the Emirates stadium including Alexis Sanchez so that may put authenticity in this report because the Club have failed in trying to convince the player to stay at the North London club.

Arsenal defeated Burnley thanks to a goal from the Chilean international yesterday in a heated atmosphere and he took to social media to give the gunners a message.

Feliz por la victoria y por el equipo … Happy for our victory and for our team , next on wednesday ?⚪️
