The gunners have spent some weeks without their striker Alexandre Lacazette who has been on the sidelines nursing a knee injury but he recently returned to full training so he is expected to be available for selection soon.

So the question will be did the Arsenal supporters miss him? So that’s what this analysis is gonna find out.

The striker has been out for a long time and the gunners got defeated four consecutive times in the absence of Lacazette including a disappointing loss against Manchester City on the Carabao Cup final. The gunners have been with Aubameyang as their replacement for injured Lacazette but the Gabonian intentional is still new to the English football and he isn’t eligible to play in the Europa League due to the UEFA rules.

Lacazette was getting benched frequently before he even sustained that knee injury because Arsene Wenger had more trust in the new signing Aubameyang so the French striker had been allocated to the Europa League.

So how has Arsenal performed in Europa League without Lacazette?

The gunners have so far played four Europa League matches ever since Lacazette sustained the injury, and the gunners have won three of those matches and lost just once. The only loss they have got in that European competition is the Arsenal defeat at the Emirates stadium by Ostersunds who beat the gunners but that wasn’t enough to help them qualify for the next round.

Most Arsenal fans were very worried about facing AC Milan without their striker Lacazette but the team was able to defeat the Italian club twice convincingly without the French international.

Conclusion

The gunners have indeed been doing great without Alexandre Lacazette but they have missed him in that period where they had gone four matches without a win. Arsene Wenger will be happy to have him back because he will now have many options in attack.

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
