Mesut Ozil Reveals How He Feels About Arsenal’s Singapore Tour
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has said that he is looking forward to their matches against Paris Saint Germain and Atletico Madrid.
Mesut Ozil has been quiet ever since he made the statement of quitting the Germany national team saying that they didn’t respect him because of his Turkish roots and accused them of being racists.
Mesut Ozil was among the selected Arsenal players that travelled to Singapore for the Pre-Season tour of the North Londoners and the player has revealed his excitement towards the upcoming matches where they will play against three top European clubs including their arch rivals Chelsea.
“It’s really exciting to be in Singapore, it’s our second time here and we really enjoy coming.” Mesut Ozil told the fans in Singapore at an event.
“We are expecting good matches against PSG and Atletico Madrid. They are great teams with great players, it’s a test for us to get ready for the new season so it’s something to look forward to.”
Mesut Ozil was among Arsene Wenger’s favorite players at the Emirates Stadium so the German international will be hoping to win over the heart of Unai Emery in this pre-season competition so that he could be assured of a starting spot in next season’s squad.
Ozil will now focus all his efforts at Arsenal in the upcoming years since he won’t be taking part in the international competitions.
